The Ultimate Apprenticeship

The duration of our assistant program is approximately 9 months (39 weeks). The amount of time in the program can change dependent upon how quickly you build YOUR clientele and gain the skills necessary to succeed in this industry. The program is broken into 3 phases of 13 weeks each! During this time, you will gain knowledge in your technical skills, business-building skills, and interpersonal skills.

Assistants begin by assisting during the week and taking models 1 day a week. Gradually as you master services your service menu will be opened to those services. You will continue to assist and gain knowledge while you are gradually building your service menu and clientele. Assistants are gradually released onto the floor by gaining floor days and loosing assisting days.

Once you've successfully completed our Assistant Program, the journey doesn't stop there. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to choose a specialty and dive deeper into the area of hair care that sparks your passion. Whether you want to master the art of extensions, perfect the techniques for curly hair, or become a blonding expert, we offer tailored training to help you hone your skills and elevate your craft.

  • During the apprenticeship program you will be assigned to a mentor. This mentor is responsible for guiding you throughout the program. However you will assist several mentors and lead sylists in order to gain a wide range of knowledge and skills.

  • The length it takes you to complete the program depends on how quickly you master the skills and knowledge required. The key to moving through the apprenticeship program swiftly is actively assisting and taking models to master your skills and build your clientele. The Apprenticeship Program is self paced and typically takes 6-9 months to complete.

  • Assistants start with an hourly wage, in addition to tips. As you progress through the program, there are opportunities for pay increases. Upon completing the apprenticeship, assistants transition to either an hourly rate or commission-based pay, along with tips. You'll earn the higher of the two, plus tips.
